I'm very happy to share news of a successful Build It! award for an exciting kitchen project in Oxford, carried out in cooperation with the talented team at LAPD Architects, who were adapting the building extensively to make it wheelchair accessible.
The coveted Build It! Awards recognise excellence across the board in self build products, services, suppliers and projects. The team at LAPD Architects has an extensive track record for accessible adaptations, and they were delighted to see their work formally recognised by an industry award.
This kitchen is a beautiful contemporary space with a large rise and fall sink and hob, accessible appliances and a range of storage options. As always, we worked closely with the client to ensure that critical measurements and heights were fine-tuned to her precise access requirements.
This project included a bathroom, a lounge/dining extension and extensive external landscaping. Read about it and the Build It! award on the LAPD Architects web site. And if you have a LinkedIn account, you can see the moment the award was made.
LAPD Architects offer a free consultation for any clients who are considering a home adaptation. Get in touch with them for more information.
I also welcome an initial chat with any clients who would like to access all areas of their kitchen, and create a safe and peaceful space to prepare hot meals and drinks. Drop me a line using this link and I will be in touch with you.
